I've logged in to Lulu's partner company weRead. Now I know this may be out of the blue because I haven't spent a lot of time blogging about of Lulu (all my work was being focused into the prospectus) so I will copy & paste a little synopsis from that to set the frame work for what Lulu is.
Print-on-demand refers to the trend and the technology which publishers use to print books, and other media, one copy at a time. Print-on-demand is only one of several forms of self-publishing. Lulu, a print-on-demand self publishing website, will be the main site for my research.
This is the best time to state that print-on-demand will be used as POD from now on. It's long and I use it often. The dashes also make it annoying.
Now, what would be greatly helpful for me, is to know what questions come up when those unfamiliar with books and publishing hear these terms. What information is lacking? What isn't understood? I'm somewhat close to the field so it's difficult what is necessary and what just comes off as superfluous.
To avoid making one long blog with several topics I'm going to start a seperate weReads entry.
