One of the interesting phenomena of this generation is pulling/cutting & pasting of different things together to create a self or selves. Perticularly the attempt to be or seek "unique-ness". Where the new goal is not to fit in with the right brand or "look", but to stand out. (Of course generalizations exist as with any other theory.)
I'm mulling over Cafe Press, a tshirt, coffee cup, etc. website for created products that are printed on demand for sale. Users create designs and can display them on the website for free, with purchasable upgrades. Cafe Press has a cost per item (eg. tshirt) and the designer chooses the mark-up/profit they'd like for the final product.
There are many places this could go. I haven't hammered out a research question yet. I think I'd best cruise the readings for some potential angles.

What the heck, this is amazing. It looks like you are going to show the rest of us a thing or two about how using a real blog template -- I am sorry that I rushed to make a screen capture of the previous version (anyway, it's just meant as a big button on the course website).
This looks great, you have made me jealous.
Sorry for the spam,
So CafePress may be the site where you do your research? That is a very interesting idea, I would be interested in seeing the kinds of interactions you follow. I also use CafePress, but it is not an account that can allow for message boards, indeed it's ages since I last visited my own account, maybe even years.
